Megan Walsh – Associate Synchronized Skating Coach

Megan D. Walsh is an Associate Synchronized Skating Coach for The Colonials. She offers a solid background in training, a strong understanding of the sport and refined experience in leadership. Skating credentials of Megan comprise a US Figure Skating Gold Medal in Moves in the Field and Ice Dance. She has completed a Professional Skaters Association (PSA) Mentoring Program under the tutelage of Lynn Benson, former coach of Haydenettes. Megan has been an assistant coach and/or footwork choreographer for national, international and world teams and has a PSA Basic Accreditation. Megan is an official with US Figure Skating as a National Synchronized Technical Specialist, a Video/Data Specialist and serves on US Figure Skating committees. Competitive history includes Megan having been selected to compete on the USA World Synchronized Skating Team from 2002-2005, with a top-five placement in the world each year. As a member of Haydenettes, Ice Mates and Colonial Junior, she has traveled to several international competitions around the world, medaling at four and placing first in France. She has made thirteen consecutive appearances at the US National Synchronized Skating Championships earning eight medals, five of which were Gold. A senior at Bentley College, Megan is studying Economics-Finance and International Studies. She studied in Europe, is conversational in French and is a member of Bentley’s business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. Megan is on the professional staff at Hayden Recreation Centre and Colonial Figure Skating Club. |
