Now in her fourth season as Coach of the Colonials Masters, Amy-Lynne Boucher is a talented coach and, as all team members will attest to, wise beyond her years. At just 22 years old, she brings a wealth of skating and competitive experience to the team as well as solid leadership and direction.

Amy is an accomplished figure skater having earned her US Figure Skating Gold Medal in Freestyle, Moves in the Field, and Ice Dance. She has also passed the Novice Pairs Test. In addition, she has competed solo at the regional level in Juvenile Girls, Intermediate Ladies, Novice Ladies, Junior Ladies and Senior Ladies categories.

She has a very impressive competitive record in synchronized skating with nine straight trips to the National Synchronized Team Skating Competition medaling in all but the first in 1993. Amy has had the distinction of skating with the Haydenettes, out of Lexington, Massachusetts, under the direction of Lynn Benson. There, she skated as part of the US World Team placing fifth in the world in both 2000 and 2001. Her other international experience includes the following:

  • 2001 Spring Cup, Milan, Italy -- 2nd place
  • 2000 French Cup, Rouen, France -- 1st place
  • 1999 Neuchatel Trophy, Switzerland -- 2nd place

Now a full-time college student in her senior year at Bentley College, Amy works with the adults of the Colonials Masters to continue to build skill level as a team and to move closer to fulfilling the team's goal of medaling at Nationals. She works extraordinarily well with the adult team members, ranging in age from late 20s to mid 60s, and emphasizes teamwork, respect, and above all, fun.

The Colonials Masters team is fortunate to have this young, dedicated coach who works the team hard, challenges every one of us, and encourages us to enjoy the experience and friendships.
