Colonials Junior Synchronized Skating Team Debuts Short Program at Evening With Champions
(Oct 2008) In their first performance of the season, the highly decorated Colonials Junior Synchronized Skating team debuted its short program at the 2008 Evening with Champions skating fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund at Harvard University's Bright Hockey Center. The Colonial Junior team, which shared the program with top Olympic and world skaters, was thrilled to be performing on behalf of the Jimmy Fund and looks forward to returning next year. The 39th annual Evening with Champions program was hosted by Paul Wylie, the 1992 Olympic silver medalist and class of 1990 Harvard graduate.
The Colonial Junior team skated a beautifully choreographed and executed program to “Suddenly I See” by K.T. Tunstall. They were cheered on by a large contingent of Colonials skaters.

An Evening with Champions was founded in 1970 by former US champion John Misha Petkevich. Since then it has been run entirely by Harvard University students, raising more than $2.4 million for the Jimmy Fund, which supports adult and pediatric cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
